Our Network

World-Wide Presence

ANI Networks has a fully deployed traditional digital network using Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) switching based on Alcatel 600ES MegaHubs and NACT Dual-IPAX switches. There are two switching centers in the USA at One Wilshire in Los Angeles California and the other at 60 Hudson Street in New York City NY. There are also switching centers in the Bonnington House in London England and in the Mascot section of Sydney Australia. ANI Networks has customers in the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia.

The TDM network switches are connected to Tier I, II and III providers, for both incoming Direct Dial and Toll Free calls, by diversely routed interconnections at DS-3 high capacity digital facilities and Optical Fiber connections in all cities. Incoming Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) trunking is provisioned from over 150 Access Tandems nation-wide providing ANI Networks with interconnection to over 5,300 LEC End-Offices.

Carrier-Grade SS7 and C7 Signaling is used in all switching centers for fast and robust call set-up, feature richness and superior accurate billing records. SBC-West, MCI and SNET Diversified Group provide ANI’s domestic USA SS7 networking, while Global Crossing in the UK and MCI in AU provide international C7 networking.

Emerging Voice-Over-IP (VoIP) technology is being used for outgoing/termination interconnections to all carriers offering this alternative methodology. SONUS Networks, the premier “Next-Generation” Soft-switch, is presently being deployed initially in our Los Angeles and New York switching centers, additionally in a new switching center in Dallas Texas. H.323 and SIP & SIP-T protocols are fully supported. A full migration to TDM/VoIP Soft Switching will take place over the next few years as both incoming (ingress) and outgoing (egress) vendors convert their networks as well.

A fully empowered Network Operations Center (NOC) is located in El Segundo California to monitor all vital signs of the numerous network components world-wide. Alternate Routing and Disaster Recovery programs can be implemented within minutes should either network hardware components or digital interconnection facilities fail. Manned 24x7x365 by network engineers ANI customers and vendors are afforded swift response to network issues and efficient restorations, many times corrected even before end-users have noticed.
